Ed & Linda Reiter

Ed & Linda Reiter

Cherry Street Mission is honored to count Ed and Linda Reiter as Pillar of Hope donors. They have also included Cherry Street in their estate planning. Ed has a 65-year acquaintance with Cherry Street that began as a teenager. Three aspects of Cherry Street Mission Ministries are important to Ed and Linda. As Linda says, "It's long lasting. It's been there, and it will be there." They see that "the wonderful people that work in this environment" are not here for themselves; they are in it for those people who need help and that a great percentage of gifts go to the services that Cherry Street Mission offers (as opposed to administration), which is "just incredible!" Ed & Linda have a love for Northwest Ohio and want to see the community flourish through the good works of all. They believe they are doing their part by faithfully giving now and after they have passed. It's a legacy they know their family appreciates as well. As Ed notes, "When you do things that are faith-involved, then you get the reward, and the reward is having that feeling of satisfaction to help people that really need help." Ed and Linda's advice for folks planning the disposition of their estate is to recognize that their current and future gifts to Cherry Street will do wonders, will be spent on people who really need it and it will make a direct impact on the lives of those who are in the depth of despair.

A planned gift is really quite easy—it involves some planning that helps both you and our mission. Advanced planning can help you create a legacy in your will or trust, increase lifetime income for you and your spouse and pass on property to your heirs through a charitable plan.
